In contrast to the western world, there is a common and traditional point of view in Chinese beauty. Light skin refers to social class. These people do not have to work outside. This means that they belong to a more noble class. Rather, the skin colors of women working outside are dark. However, the western world constantly reveals its image of a woman with bronze skin as a part of the capitalist order. The Chine-Pacific region is currently considered to be the largest market for skin-whitening products. In this picture, I thought how to interpret the concept of Chinese beauty. I used pink tones and lots of lights to express smooth and porcelain looking face, I preferred abstract Chinese flowers for the background.
